Hi!
I just installed SUSE 6.0 a few weeks ago. (A total newbie to Linux.) But I
can't seem to setup my cable modem with SUSE.
I have it setup on my main computer on an existing LAN. It has a dual boot
with Win 98. And has 3 computers hooked up to it that also have Win 98. (No
Linux on those yet.)
Since this computer is the one with the connection to the cable modem it has
two 3Com 509b ISA Nics in it. One for the Cable and one for the proxy
thingy so it can share the access with the other Win 98 computers.
No mater what I have tried I could not get it to work. All I would like to
do is to have SUSE have access to the net. I don't need the 3 other Win 98
computers to run or have access to the net while I am using Linux.
I was told to by my Cable provider that I have to configure it via DHCP.
Any help would be appreciated. TIA.
