Hi,
Well the lady from Que publishing got back
to me about the book.
I'm going to an organic farm to work for the summer,
and I may not be able to devote as much time as this may require.
I do want to help, even if I write a couple of pages.
I have kept the emails of everyone who said they would
like to help, to forward to her. She requires you
sign a non-disclosure agreement, a resume, a sample
of your writing, and salary requirements.
Anyone who wants to try, let me know.
This is the first few lines of her latest email to me:

Hi Joe,
Thanks for getting back with me so quickly. Let me first tell you
a
little more about this book... tentatively titled Special Edition
Using SuSE Linux, this book will likely be 1,000+ pages. I would
like
for it to be written in a three-month period, which, if writing
began
in early April, would enable us to publish the book in October.
This
likely means having several people write, if not collaborate, on
the
book. Que's Special Edition Using series is one of the most
popular
series in computer book publishing; while we do require an
aggressive
schedule in order to make our books competitive, most authors will
agree that the rewards are worth it, both intrinsically and
financially. I've attached guidelines for this series for your
review.

I think the experts at Suse should be involved in this.
Hubert, Bodo, Stephan ??? what do you guys think?
I really only know how to run Suse as a workstation,
a book like this needs server experts.
