Hello again:

This is a second message in response to my post of "DHCP reset"

I have a Linux SuSE 6.0 server that has a dynamically assigned IP from my
ISP. I've asked that they assign me a static IP which I expect to receive
in a few days from now.

Could someone suggest/describe what modifications do I have to make to:

1. completely disable the dhcp client
2. assign my newly assigned static IP to my eth0

---------

Am I correct that I am to use YAST and select "NO" to the prompt "Do you
want to use this machine as a DHCP client?

AND

choose System Administration|Network Administration|Configure Base
Configuration

...where I can assign the static IP here?

--------------

Is this correct?

Thanks everyone.

Lester
