I SET UP A 486/66 AS A SAMBA SERVER just to try linux out.
I was amazed how good it worked , I ran some dos apps acrross the network
(both data and exe ) and was shocked how well the responce was. The app was
usable as far as data access and screnn refresh.

I am new to linux , and the machine I set up was used as an exclusive
server , no other stuff loaded , only samba. You may want to try this .

sor5ry I cant help more.
