If you do a search on yahoo! on procmail, you will find a few great
online faqs on setting up procmail to sort out mailing lists, deal with
spam mail, and a few other things. One of the best resources, as
Michael points out, are the man pages. Especially procmailex. This
page cuts through a lot of mystery on how to forward, deal with
attachments, vacation email, lots of great stuff. Procmail for me
deals with mailing lists, email generated newsletters, and does really
nicely sorting things into folders. I dont subscribe to the procmail
mailing list but have found the online faqs are just the "facts" that
are needed for a basic understanding of procmail.
