There is software available, but it's commercial and around
$600, which is more than a new CPU costs, unless you have a
Intel PII.  You might want to call up one of your local computer
stores and see if they would run a diagnostics test on it.  This
normally should only cost you about $20.  Hell..., all they have
to do is run your PC for 24 - 48 hrs and print out the results.
