Hi All,

I am trying to set up an old box to get running on linux: a Compaq
deskpro 4/66M. Everything goes well for the text-based part of the
setup, it even detects and runs my CPQ/Adaptec 6260 SCSI adapter as an
AD152x :-)
The big problem is getting X to run. Originally, the machine used a
QVision 1024/E card but this is not supported. I got hold of an
undocumented videocard with a Realtek RTG3106 chip but with 1Mb memory,
so this should sort-of work. However, after fiddling with the XF86Config
file for a week or so I cannot get a stable image, the best image i've
seen so far is a screen where the bottom of the screen appears at the
top again and ends halfway the screen. The monitor used is a CPQ 151FS.
Is there anyone out there who uses either the mentioned monitor or video
card? I would appreciate if you want to send me the contents of the
XF86Config file, or any other related info. Also, is there somebody who
has the QVision card working?

Thanx in advance,
Marco
