Hi All, I am trying to set up an old box to get running on linux: a Compaq deskpro 4/66M. Everything goes well for the text-based part of the setup, it even detects and runs my CPQ/Adaptec 6260 SCSI adapter as an AD152x :-) The big problem is getting X to run. Originally, the machine used a QVision 1024/E card but this is not supported. I got hold of an undocumented videocard with a Realtek RTG3106 chip but with 1Mb memory, so this should sort-of work. However, after fiddling with the XF86Config file for a week or so I cannot get a stable image, the best image i've seen so far is a screen where the bottom of the screen appears at the top again and ends halfway the screen. The monitor used is a CPQ 151FS. Is there anyone out there who uses either the mentioned monitor or video card? I would appreciate if you want to send me the contents of the XF86Config file, or any other related info. Also, is there somebody who has the QVision card working?
