On the CD-ROM for SuSE 6.0 is a sub-dir called patches. For starters, what is the proper way to get these to work. When I point yast towards it I can select the kernel patch (not the ones in a dir lower) and this extracts the lot to /patches . Or does it actually do more? I have read the README in /usr/src/linux the .tgz file not really follows patch naming conventions and contains a sub dir from SuSE. So I am hesistant in using the way described in there. Anyone.... ??
