I keep seeing on this list queries regarding how to patch the linux
kernel. Surely the easiest method is that given on this list some time
ago. Just obtain the patches, place in /usr/src/linux/scripts and invoke
the program patch-kernel (which lives there) without any parameters.
This program handles several types of compression and will progressively
apply several patches in the correct order. See the program script for
more info.
