I too think that mc is the best idea, although I wouldn�t have had the
idea in the first place. I think these "crap" names contain unix special
characters, that need to be masked with \ (backslash). This is very
annoying, particulary if (like at work) someone created filenames with
german "Umlauts" on a samba box, that doesn�t run mc on the unix side...
