Dear Sasa,

Can you please give some information about the hardware. CD rom drive
are you using (brand and type number) What type of main board do you
have (Brand and type number and chipset what microprocessor). Do you
have the CD Rom drive connected to the main board or an separate card?

Does the BIOS see the CD drive as a CD rom drive or as a hard drive?
Does the main board support auto detect for the IDE devices?

When the information is available people might be able to help you.

Regards,

Joop Boonen.

The problem sounds a bit strange. I didn't have any problem while
installing Suse 6.0 on a IDE driven computer. So it's quite a difficult
problem i think?
