Hi Stephan, I have the same problem on Ultra 10 (Suse 7.3). The problem looks like heavy network IO.I'm using sun happy meal ethernet card. I reduced network traffic on server and it never crashed again.
Also kernel on Suse 7.3 (2.4.14) looks buggy. regularly I have following error: kernel: __alloc_pages: 1-order allocation failed (gfp=0x20/0) Now, I have some plans to test Debian Sparc 3.0 (kernel 2.4.18) on a Sun E220 machine.Beacuse I was waiting a new Suse release like 8.x or something but it is never published. it's been a very very long time that they released 7.3 and looks like it will take a long long time to see a new Suse sparc version. BTW, do you have a nfs mount on your linux box. On Sun, 2002-09-15 at 23:31, Stephan Fischer wrote: > Hi, > > I try to run Suse Linux 7.1. on a NETRA I as firewall.
