Hi guys, here's my report. That page (and others it links to) helped *a lot*: http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram ********** linux-compy:/home/os # s2ram -n Machine is unknown. This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Sony Corporation" sys_product = "VGN-FS115Z" sys_version = "01" bios_version = "R0100J0" See /usr/src/linux/Doc*/power/video.txt for details, then reimplement neccessary [necessary] steps here and mail patch to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Good luck! ********** s2ram -f -a 1 : Does not work (resume to black screen, keyboard/capslock led doesn't work) s2ram -f -a 2 : Works fine!! s2ram -f -a 3 : Same problem as with s2ram -f -a 1 ********** I edited /etc/powersave/sleep accordingly: SUSPEND2RAM_FORCE="yes" SUSPEND2RAM_ACPI_SLEEP="2" Now I use Suspend to RAM from the context menu of KPowersave and it works 100%. I've also used Yast power management module to suspend to RAM when closing laptop lid. ********** Various info: Specifications for VGN-FS115Z: http://www.vaio-link.com/specifications/specifications.asp?l=en Nvidia 1.0.8762-1 drivers Suse Linux 10.1 KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" KPowersave 0.6.2-3.3 Powersave 0.12.20-0.3 Powersave-libs 0.12.20-0.3 Suspend 0.9.1-308 ********** For the record, suspend to disk worked "out of the box". Tell me if you need more info or if you would like me to do more tests. Keep up the good work!
