I haven't really seen this same problem anywhere, most of the time I
see the opposite, so I thought I would ask here how to solve it. I
have a Dell Inspiron 8200 with a nVidia GeForce2 Go video card. The
computer suspends/resumes just fine from the command line (except for
a few minor display glitches that go away when the screen redraws),
except when suspended the backlight stays on. This leaves me with a
solid white screen once all the pixels loose their residual charge. Is
there any way I can get the backlight to shut off when I suspend?
