Bad. I tried to document it as good as possible on the opensuse wiki, but well, that's not where everybody seems to be looking :-( > I had lost a couple of hours yestarday until I realized that the suspend > (at least the one initiated from kpowersave) is now driven by pm-tools > and the do_acpi_sleep and prepare_suspend_to_disk scripts are not used > at all. What are they needed for after all? We just had a typical case of "bad timing". Pm-utils came late for 10.2 and it was uncertain for quite some time if we would use it, and, even more, if it would work. So we left in the option to just do "rpm -e pm-utils" and get the old powersave suspend infrastructure. If we had been sure that pm-utils would work as well as it actually does, we would have probably dropped the powersave suspend infrastructure already (it is mostly gone in CVS HEAD). I'm sorry that it hit you. -- Stefan Seyfried \ "I didn't want to write for pay. I QA / R&D Team Mobile Devices \ wanted to be paid for what I write."
