<snip> OK, after testing with a newly burned live DVD (my previous DVD was starting to show odd errors when booting) I can tell you that s2ram works with s2ram -f -p -m with the A10 BIOS in both the console and i810 X irregardless of whether vga=0 is set or not. Suspending with any options other than -f is slow (system will drop to console after announcing the freezing of CPUs and will stay there for a good 30 seconds before powering off) but -f by itself is not enough to bring the screen back.
