hi list, i successfully suspended the following unknown machine: sys_vendor = "Gericom" sys_product = "HUMMER" sys_version = " " bios_version = "1.03 "
as it contains a nvidia geforce fx 5600, i used the instructions from the nvidia-suspend-howto. however, POSTing is still needed or the result will be a whiteout. also, resuming takes quite some time and goes along with a messed display. this gets fixed by POSTing, though. eventually i used s2ram -f -p -m for this result. it works from console, as well as from xorg. xorg takes a bit longer to come back and i used the latest drivers (1.0-9755). i can provide additional info, if needed - just ask ;) kind regards, booiiing ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
