Hi, thanks for your answer. I've just installed a 2.6.20.4 kernel. Suspending via s2ram without the fglrx driver is working again. Albeit, as opposed to my initial report in 2006 using a 2.6.17.4 kernel the display won't wake up with the xorg/radeon driver. (When using the 2.6.17.4 kernel last year with the then current xorg the display would wake up, but the VCs would be a little corrupted.)
