Hi folks,
after testing a while I'm now successful with this device and s2ram
running with openSuse 10.2:
This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor = "Acer, inc."
sys_product = "Ferrari 5000 "
sys_version = "Not Applicable"
bios_version = "v1.3207"
I installed the ATI fglrx driver fglrx_7_1_0_SUSE102-8.34.8-1.
Main changes are kernel parameter "vga=0" as this laptop is using a
ATI Mobility Radeo X1600 (256MB). And "s2ram -f -m" does the work.
So I put S2RAM_OPTS="-f -m" in /etc/pm/config.
Works great with console and X11 (kde).
If more data is needed of this machine and installation don't hesitate
to ask on [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Many thanks for your great work (esp. SS).
Best Regards,
Juergen
