Yesterday, Sandra Repp passed along Diana Bryant's announcement of room for a few more people to take Game of Logging courses at the Arnot Forest.
I took all three classes and I would recommend the full course to anyone who uses a chain saw, be it for the occasional collecting of firewood to folks who take down trees for a living. It is an intense but fun course and you have no idea how many bad habits you have about chainsaw handling until you take the class. Its not free but it is worth every nickle. What I learned about small engine upkeep and fueling has already saved me the price of the course on repairs and overhauls avoided. Learning to spot accidents lurking in the job, is priceless. -- freedom is not more important than fairness and much easier to fake.
