BE CAREFUL! Kayakers and those on jet-skis, row boats or canoes should wear
WET SUITS in case they capsize. There are white-cap waves on the lake right
now. The air is very windy and it is only 43 F. The water is even colder.
In our rescue efforts, let's try to prevent further risks of hypothermia.

I live near Sheldrake Point and have been in touch with the volunteer
organizers who are camped there until sundown today (Friday). If you have
questions, call them:
Julia 845-240-8288
Alyssa 808-341-3770.

Here's how you can help if you live within, say 10 miles of Sheldrake Point
(10 miles north or south of it) and you don't have a boat:

Phone your neighbors to let them know about the search.

Walk along the shore in your area.

Bring food and/or cash for gas to the volunteers on Sheldrake Point.

The search will continue all weekend. Thanks, All.
