True.
The state of Wisconsin sets aside 640,000 acres (across the US the number is
VERY large) at about $55 per acre (paid by the federal government). The feds
pay $35,000,000 to not grow crops in this that can be used for ethanol
production then subsidizes the production! Currently, we "import" about
50,000,000 gallons from other states.

Currently, fed subsidy is about 5.4 cents per gallon, the state adds 20
cents and if you get a piece of the new fed subsidy, add another 40 cents.
Go figure.
