Where do kerosene and lamp > oil (and heating oil for that matter) fit come off in the "cracking > process"? -------------------- This is one of the the things I joined this list to see if I can find out, I have a 1994 Mazda 626, and to save money (340% tax on fuel in UK, and terrible roads due to government degeneration policy) , I am currently using a 50:50 mix of 95RON Unleaded and Kerosene. I have retarded the ignition a bit to stop pinking, and it runs fine, except in <0?c weather when after starting the engine, I have to let it idle for about a minute before setting off, or it stumbles under load. It idles fine, and runs fine after that. The catalytic convertor and Lambda probe seem OK from emmissions checks and ODC diagnostics.
It would be lovely to use vegetable fuel instead of paraffin/kerosene, as I will know whats in it, its cleaner, and cheaper than my current source of paraffin (at 55p/litre) I know the airlines buy it for 9p/litre.
