Hallo, Does anybody know what is the bulk price of 95 % fuel-quality ethanol in Brasilia and is it possible to buy large quantities of ethanol from there?
Approximately 17 million tons of Russian oil products (mostly heavy fuel oil) are loaded from railway tanks to tanker ships in Estonian ports annually. Much of the loaded heavy fuel oil is shipped to oil refinery plants in Central America. On their return trip the tankers could transport cheap Brasilian ethanol to Estonia. If the ethanol is competitive with ordinary gasoline and diesel fuel in Brasilia, then the ethanol, made in Brasilia, must be competitive in Estonia as well. The transportation from Brasilia to Estonia with large tankers is cheap. Also, the costs of distribution and storage of ethanol are comparatively small. As well as tanker accident risks. Modern cracked gasolines lose their quality during already a couple of months after production, but ethanol can be retained many years without the loss of quality.
