This report was an unfortunate quote taken out of context originally by Reuters from work done by Jim Olssen. It has been soundly refuted by all, including Austrian Biofuels Institute. Jim Olssen has results based on burning oil at 550 deg C in an open crucible. His results are quite valid. However, they may not be transposed to burning RME in an engine at 2000 deg C, when all VOCs are converted, dust to dust and ashes to ashes - which is what has been done. Olssen - and the University - have issued retractions, which will take time to come through the media - if at all!
