As someone who has just logged onto this group, and only for a week at
that, I feel that there appears to be a serious ego problem, culturally and
parochially, lets face America as a nation absorbs half of the worlds
resources and is a highly wastefull society in general, but that is not to
say the participants of this list are of that ilk.

I thought this mailing list was about people who recognise the problems
within society and wish to do something about it, but instead some
participants choose to go off on tangents, all information is valuable but
lets keep it to the subject at hand if I want to involve myself with
arguments over cultural philosophy or ever be subjected to it I know a nice
little pub to sit in and sink a couple of pints at my choise.

I had asked a question re: had anybody gone throught the process of fitting
a diesel plant to a vehicle designed for petrol and whether there were any
problems with gearing ie do I need to change the rear differential, I think
what I might do is forget the list and work it out for myself, I thank all
those who have shared there information in a open forum but I feel that my
e-mail just gets clogged with what can only be crap at times,

nice processing plant Ian well done mate, the first real signs of anything
concrete coming out of this, I agree that the enviroment is a touchy
subject and we are all concerned by it well if are on this list we should
be, so what is the point of trying to convert the converted it pisses
people off and they go else where.

Todd,

You have a very narrow point of view.
This may make life simpler for you but I doubt it
helps change the social dilemmas you seem to abhor.

Your angry words must alienate many that might
otherwise join your (our) cause.

Will it make you a happier person if I simply stand
still and quiet and appear to accept any angry
statement that you may throw out into the ether?

Out of respect for the others on this forum I don't
think we should clog up the bandwidth with any more of
this back and forth as I am not sure that it is on
topic and I doubt others are interested. Please feel
free to contact me off forum if you wish to have a
discussion in which we might both learn something from
obviously differing points of view.

If however you just wish to blow off steam on the
forum I refuse to participate further.
