At the moment I pre filter my waste oil through the finest denier tights or
stockings I can find (I get a few funny looks when I go into the local shops
to purchase these). the waste oil is then heated in a steel barrel. A small
pump keeps the oil 'mixing' and this is again pumped through a simple funnel
on the top of the barrel with more stockings/ tights. as the oil heats the
flow rate increases and any dirt, burnt food particles or solid waste sinks
to the bottom and will be sucked into the pump and thus filtered out by the
'filter'
