For those thinking of installing a heater loop in their SVO or biodiesel tanks you may wish to consider using the corrugated flexible Stainless Steel lines commonly available for hooking up LPG and natural gas appliances. They are easily bent to a tight circle without tools and have fittings on each end that easily hook to copper or poly pipe. At around US$8 they are a good deal IMO for those that feel they need whole tank heat.
The fact that they are SS means no corrosion problems and the corrugations not only ease the bending process they increase surface area and have a mixing effect on the coolant inside that increases heat transfer efficiency.
