I have tried several procedures and was successful with all of them... I have made a modification of the following procedure:
http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel_aleksnew.html I used 93% sulfuric and didn't have a problem. I'm using 100% used soy. During the acid stage I had to let it settle for 24-48 hours for better results. It didn't settle out like the photos in the above article. However, I did get some glycerin in this stage and decanted the esterfied oil to proceed to the next stage (base)...After the base stage I was very pleased with the results...I got a very high yield...It was slightly darker than the final product shown in the above procedure. > > > I assume the final product will vary in color with respect to the waste oil that is used. Is this correct? peace __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send your FREE holiday greetings online! http://greetings.yahoo.com ------------------------ Yahoo!
