This has gone too far. What purpose do personal attacks and name calling serve? I for one have learned a great deal about Bio Diesel from Dana. I also have learned a great deal from Keith Addison, and his resource webpage.
So why the attack? This was brought on by a discussion of a small bio fuel producer that tried to go commercial without permits and got caught. The epa gave him a break and didnt take his entire life savings and real estate assets and a stake of every wage he could possibly earn for the rest of his life for the fine they could have levied. They told him to stop and not restart without proper permits. So it would seem to this casual observer that the point of this dialog and this message in particular is to drive a knowledge source from this group. What purpose would that serve to a bio fuel group? The only thing it would do in my opinion is delete a ready source of information. Who would benefit from that? The big bad government boogey man and huge oil corporation that everybody seems to target as the enemy. I have spent years in government service. I have learned the hard way that the easiest way to get something done (inside of a government agency) is to comply with the regulations and then try to change them if they are out of tune with the situation. I guess I can sum it up in a few words. Play nice. Thats my thoughts on the matter.
