I recently replaced a fuel pump, screws A and B are speed controls (idle, max rpm), C didn't appear to be adjustable, it looks like it's locked in place with a crimped sleeve at the base of the screw (I could be wrong), I didn't see anything in any of the instructions I read that talked about adjusting screw C.
Hope that helps, Ed -----Original Message----- From: Bryan Fullerton [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 16, 2002 7:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [biofuel] Injector pump help. What exactly did you want toknow about those screws? I have done extensive work on GM diesels but not VW diesels.. even so I can tell you with a high degree of certainty that item "A" is most likely the idle speed adjustment. "B" looks like a high speed adjustment though that is usually governed. Least on GM vehicles it is.. I am not sure about "C" it looks like a plug or maybe some kind of fuel limiter. it could also be a spring tension for a check valve or some such thing.. Course if I had it here I would just take it apart and find out.. You would be better off doing a serach on the internet for info. related to that pump model. In doing searches make sure youtry different search engines like one of my favorites is AltaVista.com. --Bryan > > > > ------------------------ Yahoo!
