The study suggested below has actually been done> do a search here for "THE biodiesel emissions comparison study" (IO think) for some info on the Harvard/Ford Motor Co emissions comparison study. Using emissions predictor software (about the only "problem" with the study, though a lot of federal regulators do just that, use this software) the Harvard study concluded that BD 100 comes out ahead of grid-charged EV's - even in New England's Nuclear-heavy grid power mix- on emissions of geenhouse gas. ANd they weren't lookingt at local production, from waste products, SVO use, etc. IT's a great set of studies, conclusions come out heavily anti-CNG. IT can be found at Harvard;s websites, search for"biodiesel" and that "report on bus alternatifves and a few other permutations on the same statistics comes up.
