Well, you've gotta remember, a slave is a valuable manufacturing piece of equipment ... similar to a wave soldering machine, robot automobile welder, or weaving loom. Doctoring costs simply represent a "repair cost" to that piece of equipment. Unless of course, the "repair" ..oops .. I mean doctoring costs exceeds the "manufacturing output" .. oops .. I mean labor the slave ... ooops .. I mean EMPLOYEE, puts out.
Then it comes time to throw away ... ooops ... I mean RETIRE the machine ... er ...slave ... er.... employee. And go buy .. er ...hire another one. Makes sense right??
