I would guess most block, tank, or fuel heaters draw between 15 and 100 amps. A 75 watt Photovoltaic module would put out 4 amps in ideal conditions. Therefore you would need minimum 4 panels at $350 each to run a 15amp heater. More likely you would need 10 - 20 modules. My 6 panels give me between 1 and 24 amps during sunlight hours.
