<x-charset ISO-8859-1>I have an idea. You guys(and gals) tell me what you
think...

Have a Diesel engine (fueled by biodiesel,of course)with an a/c
compressor (for air conditioning)mounted on it running a generator,
have the coolant piped into the house for area heating,or through a
heat exchanger to heat water,(great care must be taken in this case
to make absolute sure there is no mixing of the coolant with the
water)and have this assembly in an enclosure outside of the
house, with some kind of acoustic insulation to limit sound. In this
way,if your engine and generator are big enough, you could comfortably
live completely off the grid.
