To put $590 per year in perspective, it is roughly half of what we spend on telecommunication services(cable, telephone & cell phone) each year, or about $1.50 per day, or $0.40 per family member per day. As much as I sympathize with the effort to reduce food waste, I do not see how we can be any more frugal. I am open to suggestions.
