Hey - texas was a "dang republic" at one time and wanted to be seperate for the US. And everyone here knows that you "don't mess with those texans" (remember theh Alamo). So on the lighter side of things, yes, there are certainly differences - I think. I am partial to California. But then again, my Southern Califorina buddies want to cecede from Northern California. And some people in the Southwest still think its part of Mexico..(The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo).
Personally, I'm looking forward to the eventual "Balkanization" of the US -- it probably won't happen in my lifetime, but you never know, and it's sure to happen eventually. As a confederation of strong states, US made sense -- as a single centralized entity a la Soviet Union or Yugoslavia, it doesn't. -K _______________________________________________ Biofuel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://wwia.org/mailman/listinfo/biofuel Biofuel at Journey to Forever: http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel.html Biofuel archives at Infoarchive.net (searchable): http://infoarchive.net/sgroup/biofuel/
