Just a little input, my 2 cents worth.  I think you should be RETARDING or
DELAYING the timing instead of ADVANCING it.  Biodiesel burns cleaner and
faster that petro-diesel and thus ADVANCING it will cause your engine to run
hotter.

At least, that's what we had to do.  We have several Komatsu diesel forklift
that we are running a 2% blend on (using the biodiesel as an additive).  The
engines started running hot and I checked the JTF pages and it said optional
to retard the timing 2-3 degrees.  (biodiesel and your vehicle)

Correct me please if I am wrong.
