Howdy Bob, I certainly didn't mean to imply that our health care system is better than others. I offered up the statistics only to correct a statement made by another. Personally I am embarrassed by the poor overall state of health care in the USA and as I mentioned in another post, it is due principally to the lack of universal health care. Another factor is our downright foolish reluctance to teach about sex in public schools and on and on.
Clinton had an initiative to move towards universal health care at the beginning of his first term, but the proposal went no where. Costs continue to rise while more and more are left without insurance.
