 Ladybug Blitz

Help find the lost ladybugs! Did you know that a ladybug is the New York State insect, yet many native ladybug species are declining and some may be going extinct? We need your help on a research/conservation project to save these ladybugs!

Please come to the first annual Ladybug Blitz on Friday and Saturday July 27 and 28 from 10 am till 2 pm. Come for all or only some of the time. Ladybug researchers from Ithaca College and Cornell University will direct collecting efforts and record each ladybug with a digital image before releasing them at the end of the blitz.

Information on the plight of native ladybug species and updates on species collected will be provided. Volunteers do not need to bring collection equipment but will be responsible for their own water, hat sunscreen and lunch. Detailed directions to the site and more info about ladybugs will be provided following an RSVP to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
