*Community Forum on Energy: Strategies for the Home, Institute, and
Business*
Saturday, November 17, 2007
9:00am – 5:00pm
Ithaca College campus
Do you want to incorporate renewable energy technology in your home,
business, or institution but don’t know which kind would work for you or
how to go about it? Then this Community Forum on Energy is for you!
A panel of experts will start by showing you how to reduce your energy
needs in a session entitled: “Efficiency – The First Step to Energy
Independence.” Further panels will help you decide which
renewable-energy technology is right for you in sessions on home solar,
home wind, commercial solar, commercial wind, geothermal (ground-source
heat pumps), biomass, microhydropower, and combined heat and power
cogeneration.
On each panel, engineers, installers, policy analysts, experienced
consumers, and other experts will describe and answer questions on:
- various renewable energy technologies and how they work
- ins and outs of financing such projects, especially financial
incentive programs
- ins and outs of zoning regulations and permitting processes
- what it’s like to actually go through the whole process and live with
the technologies
So mark your calendar today to attend the Community Forum on Energy on
November 17.
Watch for further details on speakers and registration at
/www.treea.org/ in the coming months.
