wow

Folks need to tone down the demanding, angry complaints. I'd hate to be providing a paid service and see the customer's rage.

Fortunately, there is no consumerism here, and no product or service from a profitable institution that owes buyers what they promise. Mutualaid provides the software, server space, and bandwith free. I'm sure they would like to know that part of the software has a problem and when I have some time I'll post a message to them about the bug with the digest feature.

Unfortunately, right I now I feel that if I try to solve this I'll give credence to the associated sentiments that the owners' "job" is to check email daily, and drop all other commitments because someone is complaining about a seat-of-the-pants 100% volunteer and 100% free server, listproc, and local list ownership. Accused of not being inclusive or respectful is provoking some defensive reactions within me that make it hard to be level-headed. I'll get over it.

As one of the list "owners," I mostly can only spend more than a few minutes online until after nine pm, when my 14000 baud cell phone modem connection is free. There are no utilities like phone service on my land. Waking at 5 am discourages me from staying online much longer than 9. My school monitors the computer use of its teachers so I must avoid using them for non-district uses. But don't get me wrong, I'm not apologizing for my lack of speed. Some may feel they are entitled to better list ownership, but... I hope my excuses won't let the dogs loose on me.

In the meantime, I'd like to thank all of you who have sent small donations of $5, 20, and more to mutual aid for their service to our community.

Steve, your message is baffling to me, as well as to several others. If
it is problem with the list processor (mutualaid), isn't your main job
as list administrator to SOLVE the problem through communications with
them? I'm not going take up space in this forum copying all the links
you posted, since they are only accessible by the list admin (you).

We're really hoping that you can resolve these issues with the digest
version in an expedient fashion, as per Jon Bosak's directions.

Thank you.

Karen

Here are the current settings. There must be a problem with mutualaid,
not
your administrators
