Cornell University Dining will hold its 2nd Annual Fall Harvest Dinner and
program tomorrow - Wednesday, September 26th at Robert Purcell on North
Campus.
The evening will begin at 4:15pm in the Robert Purcell Auditorium. Bill
Mckibben, Author of best-selling book, "End of Nature" will speak on Local
Food production and Jerry Cosgrove, Deputy Commissioner of NYS Dept of
Agriculture and Markets will discuss "Connecting New York Farmers with New
York Consumers - How NYS Dept of Ag and Markets can help". Susan Murphy,
Vice President of Student and Academic Services will speak to the
University's Mission on Sustainability.

The Fall Harvest Dinner will be held in the Robert Purcell Marketplace
Eatery between 5:30-8:30pm.
Food produced by 19 NY State farmers will be featured. The dinner will
include 6 food stations with a delicious assortment of local foods
including menu items such as heirloom tomato salad, NYS beef burgers, and
squash and apple bisque. This event is part of Cornell's larger effort to
increase procurement of NY State produced food for their Dining Facilities.
The public is encouraged to join Cornell in celebrating the harvest.
Tickets for dinner are available at the door and are $16.75 for adults,
$8.40 for children 7-12 yrs., and 1 meal swipe for students with meal
