Introduction to Cultural Mentoring, a workshop for adults, will be
held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at EcoVillage at Ithaca,
at the first neighborhood (Frog) common house.

The workshop presenter, Mark Morey, is the founder of the Vermont
Wilderness School and the Institute for Natural Learning. There is a
$30-$60 sliding-scale fee, and limited scholarships are available.
Pre-registration is helpful but not required. For information and to
register, please contact Dale Bryner at 272-6486.

Mark Morey has worked closely with Jon Young, founder of the Nature
Awareness movement, to design a cultural map drawn from native
cultures around the world. Participants may expect to deepen their
awareness of nature, learn methods of community building, and take
part in art-of-mentoring activities. The goal of the workshop is to
go beyond skill-building and stimulate us to find new and creative
ways to work together. Prepare to be challenged, encouraged, and
energized!

Please bring a bag lunch and dress to be outside for part of the day.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Please be on time.

The event is sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension, Primitive
Pursuits, EcoVillage at Ithaca, Ithaca College Environmental Studies
Program, IC Students for Sustainability and Earth Arts.

Directions: From Ithaca, Rte 79 West about 2 miles, left on Rachel
Carson Way. Take gravel road about 1/2 mile to houses. Park along
road; walk into Frog neighborhood to first building on right.
