On October 11^th at 2pm, Ithaca College will host a National Wildlife
Federation Campus Ecology teleconference titled /“Campus Climate Action
Plans – Steps Toward a Climate-Friendly Campus.”/
This teleconference will be held in Center for Health Sciences Room
214-1 – please email [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> to
advise your interest in attending so sufficient seating and handouts can
be available.
**The Greener Campus Teleconference Series III: Confronting Global
Warming 2007-2008** gives NWF Campus Ecology members the opportunity to
hear from leading practitioners in the field on conservation and
sustainability topics and to provide a forum for questions and
discussion. Each teleconference features three to four speakers and
provides a question and answer session to encourage discussion among the
participants and speakers.
This 90-minute teleconference on “Climate Action Plans” will feature:
Jillian Buckholz from California State University at Chico
Jack Byrne from Middlebury College
Praween Dayananda from National Wildlife Federation
Jenn Andrews from Clean Air - Cool Planet
(Note: CA-CP is the greenhouse gas emissions inventory tool Ithaca
College has been using to track our own institutional “carbon impact”).
* *A Power point presentation with case studies, resources, and contact
information will be made available during the teleconference. If you are
unable to attend, a recording and podcast will be made available later
