Sustainable Tompkins' October monthly gathering will look at
/*“Farming's Impacts on Climate Change, Warming's Impacts on Farming,
and How to Reduce Emissions”.*/ This event will be held on Thursday,
October 18th, in the downstairs conference room at the Museum of the
Earth, 1259 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca.
Scientist Sylvester Johnson, Ph.D. Applied Physics, will present
positive action steps for reducing heat-trapping emissions, in
combination with compelling graphics and description of the several
accelerating repercussions of climate change and global warming.
The evening will begin with a potluck dinner at 6:00pm. Please bring
something to share. We are asking for this event that you please
consider bringing a vegetarian dish, preferably that does NOT include
dairy products. Vegan dishes are encouraged.
The presentation by Dr. Johnson will begin at 7:00pm. This event, which
is free and open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Museum of the
Earth at the Paleontological Research Institution and the Climate Change
Action Group
