I believe Foster Custom in Ithaca stocks and installs either Paperstone or a similar product.
As far as linoleum goes, you sound like you are already aware that natural and vinyl linoleum are very different products. I assume you have run across the recent "life cycle analysis" critique proving vinyl is more environmentally friendly - here's the debunk: http://www.healthybuilding.net/news/lca-091604.html Most valid sounding complaints I've heard on natural linoleum is energy-use in baking process and transport as most linoleum is made in Europe. (though even if all else was equal I'm not sure how that compares to vinyl floorings energy use in production or transportation from wherever it is made). There's also the issues of people using natural linoleum but then not choosing appropriate adhesives or sealers. Linoleum also has a natural linseed odor when first installed. ej _______________________________________________ RSS, archives, subscription & listserv information for: [email protected] http://lists.mutualaid.org/mailman/listinfo/sustainabletompkins free hosting by http://www.mutualaid.org
