Hi Tom, .eps is Encapsulated Postscript. You don't see many of these files nowadays; almost all applications of EPS have been replaced by PDF.
I don't see the files you're talking about at first glance, but if you send me pointers offline, I can possibly help with this; I still use an ancient version of Adobe Illustrator that can probably convert them to PDF or some bitmap format like JPG.
