Dear Friends--All kinds of technocrats keep coming up with unsustainable ideas to combat global warming. Of of these schemes was to spend $100 billion (of our tax money, mostly) to seed the oceans with fertilizers. The idea was to promote algal blooms that would allegedly fix CO2 and sink it in the ocean. This idea turns out to be as unrealistic as it sounds. I think using the existing natural carbon sink--keeping it in the ground--is the best idea! Tom Tom Shelley 118 E.
