Since 1998, Don Barber has been Supervisor of the Town of Caroline and
by all accounts, has been progressive, thoughtful, and highly effective.
Don is currently mounting a democratic challenge to incumbent Jim Seward
as State Senator - his skill set and support for environmental causes
and sustainable development would be valuable in the State legislature.

In order to secure the endorsement of the New York State Democratic
party, his campaign must raise $100,00 before the end of the day today
(Friday, January 11th). As of last night, the Friends for Don Barber
campaign had raised $95,000 - they need to bring in a final $5,000 to
put him over the top and secure this important party nomination.

Can you help? WILL you help? A show of any amount of financial support
will be invaluable. Don has a proven record as a consensus-builder who
works at the grass-roots level to engage collaboration to effect
positive change. Let's see if those same grass-roots can now rise up and
support Don now and help move him onto this larger playing field.
